Claude Just Got Scary Smart. So Did the Rest of Them. Here's What Nobody Is Saying.

Keeping up with AI right now feels exactly like the image above.

Seven platforms. All moving. All blasting at once. And the one thing every single one of them has in common isn't what you think.

The big one this week: Claude.

Anthropic just handed Claude the keys to your computer — literally.

Claude Code can now remotely control your Mac while you're away. Computer use capabilities hit public preview. Auto mode executes tasks with fewer human approvals. Anthropic is moving fast and hard toward fully autonomous agentic AI — the kind that doesn't wait to be asked.

At the same time, the Pentagon is trying to drop Anthropic as a vendor. Military users say that's not happening — Claude is too deeply embedded in defense workflows to rip out. And DeepSeek is being accused of stealing model weights directly from Anthropic and OpenAI. Anthropic is not staying quiet about it.

Big week for Claude. Understatement.

The rest of the field:

🧠 ChatGPT — market share dropped from 69% to 45% in 12 months. Filed near-IPO disclosures calling Microsoft a supply chain risk. The company that invented the category is now playing defense on every front.

🔵 DeepSeek — V4 is coming. Withheld from NVIDIA for performance testing — breaking standard industry practice. Accused of industrial-scale model theft. Cheap, fast, and geopolitically complicated.

🌈 Gemini — Apple just chose Gemini to power the next generation of Siri. Estimated $1B per year. 600M+ devices. Quietly winning where it matters most.

⚡ Grok — version 4.20 launched. Direct pipeline to X's 600M+ users. A distribution moat no other AI company has.

🏢 Enterprise — Oracle, NVIDIA, Palo Alto, and Zoom all shipped major agentic AI platforms in the same 7-day window. Every industry is getting an AI-native stack simultaneously.

Now here's the part nobody is talking about.

Claude needs servers to control your Mac. ChatGPT needs servers to answer your questions. Gemini needs servers to power Siri. DeepSeek needs servers to run its models. Grok needs servers to process 600 million users.

Every inference call. Every autonomous agent. Every automated workflow. All of it runs on physical infrastructure drawing massive, sustained amounts of real electricity.

And the U.S. power grid was not built for this.

By 2030, data centers alone could consume 9% of all U.S. electricity — more than double what they draw today. Utilities can't build fast enough. Permitting takes years. The grid is already buckling under existing load.

The AI arms race has seven front-runners. They all have one thing in common — they all need power to keep running.

That's exactly what Data Power Supply builds. Modular data centers. Turbines. Generators. Battery energy storage. Microgrids. SCADA systems. Grid-independent. Deployed in weeks. No waitlists.

While everyone watches the model wars, we're building the infrastructure that makes all of it possible.
