From 2 Tons to 133 Tons Per Day: The Scale of Our GreenAi Partnership and Why Miami Is Ready

In our last post, we introduced the plastic-to-fuel technology at the core of MIA's partnership agreement with GreenAi — a patented pyrolysis process that converts non-recyclable plastic into fuel and generates verified carbon credits. Today we go deeper.
Let's talk about what the fuel actually looks like, and exactly how big these facilities can scale.
The Fuel Quality: Better Than Conventional
Gasoline
→ 20% more octane than conventional premium gasoline → Octane RON: 102 | MON: 97 → Sulfate: 0.02% — dramatically lower than standard → Complies with NOM-086-SEMARNAT-SENER → Successfully tested in car engines for 3+ years → No waste left in injectors → Enhances performance when blended with conventional premium
Diesel
→ 15% more cetanes than conventional diesel → Sulfur: 0.0184% (vs. 0.05% conventional) → Qualifies as Marine Diesel Oil (MDO) → Approved CUTTER fuel for large draft vessels, marine dredgers, and ships → Higher ignition temperature = stronger engine performance → Complies with NOM-086-SEMARNAT-SENER
This is not a compromise fuel. It is a superior fuel — from plastic waste.
The Scale Options
The technology is modular and deployable across five facility sizes:
Size 1 — Entry Point
2 tons/day | 60 tons/month | Delivery: 4 months | 0.22 acres 7,620 gal gasoline + 4,440 gal diesel per month
Size 2
4 tons/day | 120 tons/month | Delivery: 4 months | 0.22 acres 15,240 gal gasoline + 8,880 gal diesel per month
Size 3
7 tons/day | 210 tons/month | Delivery: 7 months | 0.3 acres 26,670 gal gasoline + 15,540 gal diesel per month
Size 4 — Industrial
14 tons/day | 420 tons/month | Delivery: 8 months | 0.6 acres 53,340 gal gasoline + 31,080 gal diesel per month
Size 5 — Full Scale
35 tons/day | 1,050 tons/month | Delivery: 9 months | 2.8 acres 133,350 gal gasoline + 77,700 gal diesel per month
At Size 5: over 1,000 tons of plastic processed per month. 211,000+ gallons of fuel produced. All from waste that would otherwise end up in landfills or our oceans.
The Miami Opportunity
South Florida has some of the highest concentrations of plastic waste in the country — from ports, tourism, residential density, and maritime operations. We also have some of the highest fuel demand per square mile.
A Size 3 or Size 4 facility in Miami-Dade could absorb hundreds of tons of local plastic waste monthly, produce tens of thousands of gallons of marine-grade diesel for port operations, and generate premium carbon credits through our GreenAi partnership agreement.
The Miami Innovation Aerospace Initiative is actively exploring how to bring this to the region — at the right scale, with the right partners, and with the infrastructure backbone to support it.
Waste in. Fuel out. Credits generated. Miami wins.
Stay tuned. More to come. — Jimmy Hayes, Co-Founder & CMO, Miami Innovation Aerospace Initiative | Founder & CEO, Data Power Supply
